The Monster Match

With the cool weather this week, it was really feeling like fall. One of my friends told me about this cute little memory game project she saw online, and when I saw it, I had to make it!! I was thinking about Halloween and all our favorite monster songs, and "The Monster Mash" came to me and fit perfectly!

Stamp set is Booglie Eyes, and title is printed using SU's font CD. Patterned papers are last year's Halloween papers. To color, I used Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun, Regal Rose (for the cheeks) and Creamy Caramel markers. Sometimes I used a blender pen, sometimes I colored direct. Punches are the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches, and the Marvy Giga Scalloped Circle. I used mod podge to adhere the paper to the tin. For the larger cicles (patterned paper circles), I used my CM circle cutters, but you could also use Coluzzle.

So I had mentioned here that I had way too many tins and that I could sell them. Unfortunately, I'm now all sold out -- SORRY! If you'd like to order some tins for yourself, here they are (prices are in USD and don't include shipping until you checkout). If I get enough demand for another bulk order (minimum 100 tins), I will place another order - you can email me to get on the waiting list.

Thanks for looking!

Could you explain how you typed the title of the game "monster match" in a circular pattern? It may seem like a silly question, but I have been seeing that done quite a bit lately without a clue on how to do it. Thanks! Melissa

Hi Melissa,

You need a photo editing program to print text in a circle, such as Photoshop or Fireworks, etc.

Create a shape (in this case a cirle) and make sure it's the right size for your needs.

Then, you simply attach the text to shape path. This is usually a command inside your text menu. You'll need to have both the text and the shape selected when you do this.

Then, type out your text and choose "justification" or "centered" as the text alignment. You might need to try both to see which gives you better spacing around your shape.

That's pretty much it. You'll need more specific instructions depending on which program you have, but you can always search "attach text to a shape path in ____" in google if you need more help.
